Twitter Cards (preview on X/Twitter)

Professional-looking links on the X platform (formerly Twitter)

📖 Detailed description

Twitter Cards are the equivalent of Open Graph, but built specifically for the X platform (formerly Twitter). They turn your link from plain, boring text into something eye-catching with an image and a description.

On X/Twitter everything moves fast - users scroll through hundreds of tweets. If your link is just a URL, it is easy to overlook. But when it has an attractive image and an intriguing description? That is a completely different story!

Twitter Cards are especially important if your industry is active on X/Twitter - journalists, politicians, and influencers are often there. A professional link preview builds your credibility.

Most common problems

No Twitter Cards

The link looks unprofessional

Image too small

It does not catch the eye in the tweet stream

How to fix it?

Choose the right card type - summary or summary_large_image

Use images of at least 1200x675px for large cards

Keep the title under 70 characters - it must be specific and catchy

Add twitter:site with your account on X

Test it in the Card Validator before publishing
